Hello, my last name use to be spelled Apitz as well. I'm very curious to see if you knew of anyone who knew the origin of the last name APITZ since my family or at least the last name we thought came from Venezuela in South America. At some point or another when we moved here there were errors in our papers so we kept the last name as APIZ. If you have any info your willing to share as to the origin of the last name APITZ it would be more than greatly appreciated. Thank You, John Apiz formerly John Apitz.

Greetings and congratulations for that gorgeous girl of yours. As you can see my last name is also Apitz, but I'm from Caracas, Venezuela. I happenened by your page by doing a search with the lastname, and it got my curiosity this comment from another Apitz in Venezuela. I only know my inmediate family here. I know the lastname is German, from the Badden-Wuttenberg region, and that there're Apitz's who left Germany in the late 1800's from the Port of Hamburg. As far as I know, the Apitzes in Venezuela came by boat from the nearby island of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. My email is ciraapitz@hotmail.com if any other Apitz feels like contacting me.
